Professor Tanhauser

Cult movies you are so into....

What cult movies do you dig that may not be suitable for OBC, but are still totally cool?

As for me, asides from TRHPS I'd have to say "Zardoz" was an awesome movie. They'll never show it on OBC but man, is it an oh so coll movie....
Professor Tanhauser!

If you guys can snag the rights to "Dark Star" it would be so utterly, transcendentally perfect for you that you'd think you'd been raptured into heaven.

Brother Bird, in particular, could really relate to the characters.

I've always enjoyed repeated viewings of  "Timmy Tongued the Butter" B&W  (1943)  This one stars Yves Montand in the title role. He puts his fu**ing tongue on the butter in the first 20 seconds after the opening credits, so it's no mystery in regard to who puts their tongue on the butter. Carmen Miranda plays the part of 'Tilda', the maid at the Bluet Hotel. I give it a 4 outta 5.

"Radiator Man" starring Burgess Meredith.
Don't even look for a copy. Eve Plumb has the only print locke away in her Montana hideaway. Plumb Riser.

"It Slipped Out" 1951 (B&W) starring Mitzy Gaynor and Halvin Mazzorgski. I enjoyed the dance numbers and the costume design. However, I was left cold by the lack of chemistry between Gaynor and Mazzorgski. When they cast musicals like this, they need to consider the potential for chemistry.

"Radiator Man 2" 1969

Burgess Meredith would not come back for the sequel due to his contractual obligations to Schwanns. This one starred Robert Reid.
I give it 2 Perms out of 5
Eve Plumb does not own the rights to this one. I'm thinking about her again. In an orange and green kitchen. EL Camino in the driveway.
Poe Man Poe

"Mussorgski Stole the Kishka" 1958 (B&W) starring Witt Bissell as the delicatessen owner who invents a sausage processing machine that is possessed by the spirit of a deceased composer. Everything seems to go smoothly until  'Timmy', played by Yves Montand, a seasoned alcoholic with a penchant for throwing himself head-long down flights of stairs, puts butter in the machine.  I don't want to ruin the ending for anyone, so I'll only say that mayhem ensues. I give a 4 outta 5 due to the lilting musical score.

Big Trouble in Little China

saw it first in a drive-in in Tacoma Washington it was the last film shown there before they built a apartment complex over it.We brought in a keg and they didn't even care.
Poe Man Poe

"Didn't She Have Grippers?" 1951 (B&W) starring Dwane Escobar and Elaine Freidrich as the aging couple who grow forlorn but discover new methods of maintaining that  infectious joie de vivre following the untimely demise of their butler, Sven.

"Eve Plumb Gives It Away"

In the back seat of a 69 Rambler s/c. Turquoise with a white top.
3 Footballs to Marsha's nose out of 5.

"The Avon Lady Puts Out" (1960) B&W starring Donna Reed and Witt Bissell. Bissell excels in the title role. He puts out.
