Erie...

So Off-Beat Cinema used to run in my neck of the woods (Erie, Pennsylvania if you couldn't gather) for many years but suddenly stopped as of a few months ago (perhaps even a little longer). So my question is... what's the deal with that? 'Twas my favorite thing on teevee and I miss it dearly. Someone fill me in? Bring me good news? Tell me it will be back on the air in a matter of weeks? Please!

Dear Erie,

Thanks for checking in.  You requested good news, so here. I think it best that you proceed to your nearest flight of stairs and throw yourself down , head long, without even a meager attempt at bracing yourself. I just did this the other day and now I get OBC in my brain TV, all the time. This, and the local PBS. (Sometimes repeats of Hello Larry) When I wanna change channels, I just scratch the left one. I hope this helps.

Indeed. However, weasels were ripping his flesh at the time when he posted this link. It's hard to be accurate when weasels are ripping your flesh.

I just got done throwing myself down the stairs. No Offbeatcinema, but I'm pullin in Barnaby Jones crystal clear. I'm yanking on my private parts to change the channel. It's not working but I'm not stopping.

I got sick and tired of watching the same reruns, so I threw myself up the stairs. And then back down. Romper Room. 1963. Miss Janie is wearing something tight. Milk inna cup. Cheap bed roll. Head lice.

Barnaby Jones as a pimp. Classic. Watched it on my 8mm Bell & Howell.

Barnaby Jones trenchcoat. Brown. Belt cinched up tight. Patent leather spats. Fresh shine. White fedora with Yves Montand fan club pin secured by fishing line. Faint smile. Chives in his teeth. Breath like kerosene.

I just fired off an angry email to WGBN Pittsburgh demanding Barnaby Jones reruns. Starting off with the famous pimp episode. I have my VCR set. Beta. Top loader. Pruno cooling.

I have memorized the liner notes of Fred Waring and His Pennsylvanians monumental release 'We All Scream for Ice Cream'. I feel like I'm gonna die now.
