KronosI wish OBC could get an old movie called "Kronos". Any chance of joy on this?

Thats one I haven't seen in ages. Currently its not in our library but rest assured it now on the "lets find it" list. Here's an interesting little tidbit about Kronos, the guy that plays Dr. Arnold Culver (George O'Hanlon) was the voice of George Jetson. Thanx for the suggestion.

Glad to be of help.

I love "Kronos" though people keep trying to correct me, telling me that I'm really thinking of the one about immortality. No! I'm talking about the gargantuan machine stomping across the landscape, an image deeply impressed into my mind. I saw it a number of times as a child but haven't seen it for many decades unfortunately.
One that is even more obscure is "Gog", but no one seems to recall this sci fi film. I think it was being shown on USA as recently~well, in my lifetime recently~as the mid-Seventies. Unfortunately, this was prior to having a VCR; yes, I was dreadfully underprivileged, which continues to this day, as I do not have a DVD player. *sniff* *sigh* Someday, as God is my witness, I WILL have that DVD player! (with apologies to Scarlett)
Back to "Kronos": I still treasure this and all of the other films I saw growing up in the Fifties. I often state that I was born the year science fiction made its big comeback~~"The Day the Earth Stood Still", "The Thing from Another World", and "When Worlds Collide". Wasn't that a welcome?! It helped immensely that my father was a major film buff, especially when it came to science fiction. He died just after his 47th birthday, and "Star Wars" hit the theaters the next year. It might sound foolish, but I wish that he could have lived long enough to see "SW" and "CE3K" because he would have been as ecstatic as I was. He would have gone back to see "Star Wars" when I did because he's the one who took me to see "Fantastic Voyage" when Mom feared it would be sickening to see "innards". *giggle* I think my family caught nearly every science fiction/horror/fantasy film that came along, back in the good ol' days of drive-ins. Then, there were those special visits to the movie theater downtown, including wearing 3D glasses to watch "13 Ghosts", which I still love, far more than that remake.
I just had to drop by to announced my lingering love of this film. Even now, I can vividly recall the look and sound of the machine, especially those distance shots.

KronosYeah I remember that movie. I think the last time I saw it was in the late 60's. I'm 55 but I thought that was a great movie for the times. I remember that big ole machine that had 3 legs I think it was going up and down. I'd like to see that again.

This one is right up there with "Spinzy Puts His Tongue on the Butter" B&W 1954 starring Sheckey Green in the title role and and Carmen Miranda as his alcoholic spouse. All goes well until Spinzy gets caught with said tongue where it shouldn't be. I give it a 4 outta 5.

I saw the remake of "Spinzy Puts his Tongue On the Butter". No Shekey Green this time. Yves Montand, instead. A big let down. Don't buy the boxed set. It's not worth the money.

I bought the boxed set off my Schwanns driver. Some bad VHS copies he'd thrown in an old box. I'm waiting for him by Bobby's dumpster.

I surveilled the dumpster behind Bobby's for several days until I could no longer subdue my need to urinate. No one showed. I'm thinking that I held it for nothing.

I surveilled you subduing your urinating needs as I held my own urine. I felt I was being surveilled. Maxwell?

The "Villa Nova" in Charleroi. Holding it with every fiber of my being. It's "Ask Her for Bung Night" at the Villa Nova. You gotta bring your own her. And then ask for bung. I had the "Double Nova Burger" and slaw. Runs. Bung anyway.

Watching 'Gog' after seeing 'Kronos' during "Double Feature Wednesday" at Captain T's. During the intermission, I noticed a guy in yellow clam-diggers and a Cap'n and Teneille t-shirt make off with a couple of ashtrays and a six of Shaffer ('the one to have when you're having more than one'). Maxwell?
