Man I'm blue. Looks like no more Offbeat Cinema in St.LouisAargh, Looks like corporate greed has shut down my venue. Alas Retro Television Network is off the air on Saint Louis - Dish. First Mystery Science Theater now no more Offbeat Cinema for Elmonte. How much is enough man? When will it stop man? Whats a cat do to get his fix of cheesy film? Any of you got any ideas? Please somebody tell me that Offbeat Cinema will continue on Direct Tv or cable in Saint Louis? Man sucks to live here at the moment. Sure gonna miss Maxwell, Zelda and Bird, not to mention all the hip guests. Rant over. Off to install Microtorrent. Gotta have me some cheesy films.
On edit WOOT! RTN (wxps) is back. Guess there is a hep cat or 2 at the holding company and they cut a deal with dish network again. Perhaps there is hope for the world.
On re-edit WPXS is back and lists OBC on Sunday night but is showing a mindless infomercial. AAARGH

I love RetroTV and Off Beat Cinema. I am new to it here in ATL and I am hooked already. I use to watch these movies years ago. They were wonderfully entertaining in an odd way. I hope St. Louis gets back on track. Maybe you can write them a letter or email. GOOD LUCK

My guess it won't be on.
Since the split, WPXS has only really shown very very old movies, along with GAH and Retrojams.
Most of the movies they are showing look like they were done in the 1940's and 50's.
To bad, I really liked this channel, but looks like it is gone.

It's back on in Pittsburgh. As I tuned in, there was a knock at the door. A bagged lunch (liverwurst on rye with muenster and cheap mustard) with the name "Maxwell" written in red crayon was left on the welcome mat. Maxwell?

woops. looks like there was a topic for this already.Yeah, I'm from St. Louis and freaking out big time. I even emailed RTN, but doubt I'll receive anything back, at least not anything hopeful.
:SOBS:
You cats need to start making DVD collections of all your shows if this nonsense continues. For real.

I e-mailed RTN and they responded by sending a series photos of a person who is apparantly duct taped to an old steel office chair with a filthy tube sock in her mouth. There appears to be electrical wiring attached to the chair and in some of the photos, smoke can be seen emanating from her ears and the ligature marks. The captions under photo read the same- "She sent too many e-mails.", and "She didn't finish her pudding."

A-Team lunch box. Tuna on Hearty Wheat. Hostess Sno Ball. Chocolate Pudding cup. Apple. Fifty cents to buy a drink.
The Tuna didn't smell right but I ate it anyway. Runs.

I emailed RTN just to see how they were. I received TMI in return for my casual query, including detailed medical information on someone named Maxwell. Something about the piles and a sharted pair of Hanes boxer-briefs. Random exhortations to Baal. Mickey Rooney's home phone number. A coupon for 20% off any salad bar @ Eat 'n' Park. A box of sugar-free Easter candy from Sherm Edwards in Trafford. A betamax copy of Caltiki. 5 Casio wrist watches (broken) in a padded envelope with Graceland as the return address.
All I did was ask how they were. Pricks.
