I quelled my impulse to strangle the General Manager at WNDS. I slept in my car for several nights as I waited for him to leave the studio. At length, I spotted him as he made his way to his rusted '81 Dodge Omni. I sidled up with garroting device in hand. I felt like I was onna jag. I couldn't stop my mouth as I blurted, “Wally ruined Beaver's potential with his incessant brotherly advice." The GM looked at me with his eyebrows raised to the sky. "I don't care for 'Leave it to Beaver' or 'Offbeat Cinema'. I presented him with an opportunity to repent, but he balked. As I raised the serrated turkey carver to his carotid, he offered, "But I'm hot for Babs Billingsly." I gave him a pass and lit a half-smoked Raleigh. I left him with, "Next time, don't disregard Offbeat Cinema."
