we are always taping new episodes. We never stopped actually. Off Beat Cinema originally started in 1993. But the same movies are not shown in all the cities at the same time. Depending on when the various stations may have started airing us. We also mix up some old shows with brand new stuff so the best bet is to check the listings on the site for your particular city or your local listings. What station are you watching us on?

I have ignored most of the mail that I have received in which disparaging remarks have been made in regard to Whitt Bissell and his proclivity for leaving it out in public. I have been made to understand that Whitt was arrested in excess of 30 times for this specific infraction. I gotta say that maybe he just needed to air it out to avoid chafing. Whitt. . Gotta say OBC is a plus which partially eases my resentment of the fact non-cable subscribers were not given a vote in this sudden removal of free network tv and I hope you are still b'casting or at least getting residuals for your far out man, program. Very Happy

I awoke in the ornamental grass outside of the Holiday Inn in Reno, NV. I peered through the sliding glass doors of room 117 as the occupants engaged in a spirited game of Stratego while watching Rachel Ray on channel 11.2. Obviously, they had not invested in a digiverter. The color was all out of whack and you could barely hear the bitch reciting her recipes. I knocked on the glass and yelled, "Try moving the rabbit ears or maybe put some' aluminum foil on the ends!" At this, the startled couple leaped to their feet and dumped the Stratego board to the floor. As I was being detained by the rent-a-cop in the motel manager's office, I noticed they had cable in there. "Joanie Loves Chachi". In B&W though.

Once, whilst carefully stuffing an inebriated Art Carney into a '48 Packard's copious trunk, I espied a drag-clad Milton Berle talking smack to Red Skelton outside of Toot's joint. Red weren't havin' none. He lit into Uncle Milty like an ombudsman into a naif but uppity social worker. When the heaters finally showed to drag him off Berle he was screaming, "you're not even funny!" at the top of his lungs and booting his victim in the ribs with a terribly amusing clown shoe. Reinforced toe. Milt was hurting, and drifting in and out of consciousness when they rolled him into the Ghostbusters ambulance. No charges were ever filed. Art Carney sobered up in the vestibule of his building, awash in a number of unidentified substances.
